With temperatures continuing to drop and more precipitation forecasted into the early morning hours coupled with some bridges beginning to freeze, the Centerpoint School District has decided to close on Wednesday, February 19th. Thank you for your patience while trying to make an informed decision for the safety of students and staff.
With the continued uncertainty of the winter weather moving into our area tomorrow, the Centerpoint School District will plan at this time to dismiss at 1:00 PM. If the weather changes throughout the night and into the morning hours, further notifications may be sent in the morning if conditions worsen or more precise timing determines an earlier than anticipated arrival of the system.
As winter weather approaches, we will continue to monitor the latest forecasts this evening for the most accurate timing of the system. Please keep in mind the Centerpoint School District uses text messaging, voice calling, Facebook (Centerpoint School District), and our district website (Live Feed Section) to make notifications of school closures or delays. Thank you for your patience in understanding the difficulty to predict and that school closure notifications are made as quickly as possible while keeping student and staff safety our top priority.
The Centerpoint Homeschool & Private School meeting will be on February 13, 2025 at 9am in the Administration Building.

Alternate Bus Route Announcements: Students who live on Apple Road and Yukon Pass may be picked up at the Old Bonnerdale Store this afternoon. The drop off location for those living on Dollar Road will be the Bonnerdale Fire Department.
As we are monitoring current flash flooding conditions across the district, we will continue to communicate with county officials and observe these potential areas throughout the afternoon in hopes that the water recedes. For parents who wish to pick up your child early, feel free to reach out to the building principal of your child to check them out.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Please remember this Friday, January 17th will be an inclement weather make-up day for the Centerpoint School District.
The Centerpoint School District will resume with a normal start time on Thursday, January 16th, but will continue using the alternate bus stop locations that have been used the previous two days.
Due to our concern of refreezing overnight, the Centerpoint School District will continue with a two (2) hour delay for Wednesday, January 15th. This afternoon's drop off locations will be the same as this morning and will remain the same for both morning and afternoon tomorrow. Thank you again for your patience in keeping our students and staff safe.
The Centerpoint School District will be on a two (2) hour delay start for Tuesday, January 14th. We understand there are still several areas of concern so please use caution in keeping your family's safety the top priority when deciding to travel. With the delay, time will not allow breakfast to be served and please take note of the bus pick-up locations for students who live on the north side of Highway 70 (Apple Road, Yukon Pass, North Sugar Loaf Valley Road, Dollar Road, Pennington Lane.) These locations include Old Bonnerdale Store (8:55), North Sugar Loaf Valley/Hwy 70 (8:57), Dollar Road/Hwy 70 (9:00). Parents of other altered routes have been notified directly by the bus drivers or the transportation department.
After monitoring the conditions of roads today, the Centerpoint School District has decided to remain closed on Monday, January 13th. Even with an increase in temperature, we still have secondary roads across the district that will be unsafe for our students and staff to travel after refreezing tonight. The make-up day for tomorrow will be Friday, January 17th. Thank you again for patience as we look forward to having our Knights back on campus soon!
Due to the forecast of a significant winter weather event and receiving information from the area Office of Emergency Management, the Centerpoint School District will be closed on Thursday, January 9th. The inclement weather days indicated on the adopted district calendar can be viewed at the link below. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iqVi1Q3B2W7NsivM6WKbzxcr2U0P0Cbv/view
As winter weather approaches later this week, please remember the Centerpoint School District uses text messaging, voice calling, Facebook (Centerpoint School District), and our district website (Live Feed Section) to make notifications of school closures. To ensure text and call notifications are received, contact the principal's office of your child to update your phone numbers that may have changed.
Thank you for your patience in understanding the timing of weather is difficult to predict and that school closure notifications are made as quickly as possible while keeping student and staff safety our top priority.
